MALLY is a social platform encouraging visitors to live the experience together
with other visitors around them. Through the application, visitors can communicate
via chat, recommend each other offers or products, group buy engagements and hanging
out together. Furthermore, users of the application can share their activities in
social networks such as Facebook and Twitter and this way attract more visitors
to come to the mall and enjoy their time.
Flat maps are difficult to understand and to describe the real world. Therefore,
we use full 3D Maps providing the user an immersive experience perfectly merging
reality with the virtual world. Our interactive 3D maps are used to find routes,
look for shops, offers or events in the mall. In addition, we provide an offline
experience for the users to visit the mall and navigate through it, even when they
are not there, through our virtual tours feature.
We use the smartphone or tablet built in camera to locate the users where GPS does
not function or is not accurate enough. We do not require any extra hardware or
installations and we do not drain the device's battery. When the user captures his
environment using the camera, our system analyzes the frames, detects the user's
position and sets it over the 3D Map. Moreover, our solution is platform independent
and we support currently iOS and Android.
Once the user knows WHERE he is standing and HOW to reach his destination, the most
important thing is to know WHAT is there for him. This is the reason why we developed
our "Storefront Scanner". By simply pointing the camera to a storefront in the mall,
the store is immediately recognized and all its offers are displayed on the user's
screen. In malls that have cinema area, we provide the capability to scan the movie
posters to get the trailer and plot info instantly.
